PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Gionnah Levardi and Sadie Aitken led the way for Pittsfield’s second win in a row, 14-6, over Minnechaug on Monday.

Aitken recorded two RBIs in the win. Levardi earned the win in the circle with seven full innings.

“I felt good today, errors in the beginning did not bring us down,” Levardi said.

“They helped me out a lot today with the bats and the energy, it boosted my confidence with my pitching."

In the first inning Levardi caught a comebacker to her, then threw a runner out at third for a double play.

Pittsfield’s slugging, following their recent 18-2 victory, continued on Monday.

Neveah Lopez, Paxton Ebling, and Mia DeJesus got on base often for their middle of the lineup.

Pittsfield sparked a six-run first inning to set the tone against Minnechaug.

“It feels really nice to see the girls bringing each other's confidence out of each other," PHS coach Brian MacDonald said.

“Every single player did their part today, both fielding, pitching, and batting. It feels really good to have this victory under our belt while we keep fighting for the playoffs."

As for Minnechaug, Veronica Ouiment recorded two hits in three at bats, scoring two runs.

To add on to her day she made a difficult catch to deep center field to prevent Pittsfield from scoring multiple runs in the fifth.

The two teams combined for seven total errors in the field.

Senior Captain and Catcher Paxton Ebling led her defense and pitcher to victory.

Keeping her fielders alert and causing Minnechaug to make mistakes in the base paths.

Ebling brought the energy for her team, that motivated a strong 11-hit performance for the Generals.

Pittsfield (3-5) looks to continue its two-game win streak, facing off against a difficult Hoosac Valley (9-0) squad on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Minnechaug (4-5) plays Westfield (5-2) on Wednesday.
