Aitken Powers Pittsfield Past Monson

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Sadie Aitken went 3-for-4 with a home run Thursday to lead the Pittsfield softball team to an 18-3 win over Monson.

 

Aitken scored three times and drove in a pair of runs for the Generals, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

 

Nevaeh Lopez doubled twice and drove in three runs, and Ava Rachiele went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in a 15-hit Pittsfield attack.

 

Ava McMahon earned the five-inning, complete-game win in the circle, striking out seven and allowing just one earned run.

 

Pittsfield (2-5) hosts Minnechaug on Monday.
