Perry Leads Blue Devils in Circle, at Plate

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Drury’s Olivia Perry struck out 11 in a complete-game effort in the circle Tuesday as the Blue Devils beat Monument Mountain, 9-6.
 
Perry walked two and allowed just two earned runs in the victory.
 
She also helped her cause by going 2-for-3 with a triple and a pair of RBIs at the plate.
 
Ariana Rivard and Emily Lyons each had a pair of hits, and Sloan Brothers doubled in a 10-hit attack for Drury.
 
Monument Mountain’s Lexi Carpenter hit a solo home run, and Gianna Beacco went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.
 
Andrea Paul went the distance in the circle for the Spartans, striking out five and walking six.
 
Monument Mountain (5-2) goes to Amherst-Pelham on Wednesday.
 
Drury (2-5) hosts Chicopee Comprehensive on Wednesday.
