CHICOPEE, Mass. – Emma Meczywor and Maryn Cappiellio each scored four goals Friday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to an 11-4 win over Chicopee Comprehensive.

Ashlyn Lesure had two goals and four assists, and Layla Brooks scored a goal for the Hurricanes.

“Crazy games of sorts,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “We ended the game playing with eight [players] as we received yellow cards so needed to play players down. However, we did an amazing job possessing the ball and even scoring three goals. Emma, Maryn and Reagan kept possession for about 11 minutes in the fourth quarter.”

Cameron Lavato and Kennedy Whitley split time in Hoosac Valley’s goal, combining for 12 saves.

The Hurricanes (7-1) hosts Pittsfield on Monday.
