Mount Everett Baseball Falls to Housatonic
SHEFFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Everett baseball team Friday rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh but could not catch Housatonic Regional, which escaped with a 9-8 win over the Eagles.
Brady Carpenter led Mount Everett’s offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs.
Cam Coon and Jacob Kreis each went 2-for-4 with a double.
Sean Warren, Brodie Kinna and Kreis split time on the hill, combining to strike out 11 and allow six earned runs.
“Tough loss today,” Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. “We can’t keep giving other teams leads and expect to come back and win. As a team, we need to do a better job on defense, especially at the start.
“We’ll look to get back on track next week.”
Mount Everett (6-4) will look to snap a two-game skid on Wednesday when it travels to Lee.
