Shaylee Lawson Leads Hornets Past Pacers

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Shaylee Lawson went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs Thursday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 21-1, five-inning win over Chicopee.

 

Nora Kondel and Ryleigh Rathbun each doubled and drove in three runs in a 13-hit McCann Tech attack.

 

Emma Lemire and Lexi Lemanski split time in the circle, combining to allow two hits while striking out seven.

 

“Better showing for the Hornets defensively,” McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said of her team, which snapped a two-game skid.

 

The Hornets (3-2) look to stay in the win column on Friday when they visit Ludlow.
