LUDLOW, Mass. – Liv Slatton struck out seven, and the Ludlow softball team held off a late Drury rally to earn a 6-5 win on Wednesday.

The Lions caught a runner attempting to steal home in the top of the seventh, when the Blue Devils already had scored twice to make it a one-run game.

Ariana Rivard went 3-for-4 and scored a pair of runs for the Blue Devils, who got two hits from Norah Wood and a double from Olivia Perry.

Perry struck out 11 and allowed five earned runs in a complete-game effort in the circle.
