'Balanced Attack' Propels Wahconah Past Chicopee

DALTON, Mass. -- Olivia Hines and Jordan Budaj each had a hat trick on Friday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 14-4 win over Chicopee.

 

Budaj assisted on three goals, and Emmy Cote and McKenna McIlquham each scored a pair for Wahconah (5-1), which won its fourth straight.

 

“Tonight was a balanced attack,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We moved the ball well and our defense played a solid game. It was great to see everyone step up and contribute in many ways.”

 

Katie Bachli made five saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Wahconah hosts East Longmeadow on Saturday.
