Mt. Anthony Tops Wahconah in Girls Lacrosse
DALTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah girls lacrosse team was defeated by Bennington, Vt.'s, Mount Anthony, 14-10, on Monday afternoon.
Perin Genaway led Wahconah with three goals.
Emily Altland had eight for Mount Anthony and Bridget Ahearn had two.
Mount Anthony led by only one at half-time, 7-6. Wahconah gave up three goals in the first three minutes of the second half, giving Mount Anthony 10-6 lead.
"They are very aggressive and deep," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "We have been starting off the second half of our games too slow, as a team we have to figure out how to come out strong in the second half."
Wahconah (5-4) will look for a better finish on Wednesday when it faces Pittsfield.
