CHESHIRE, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure scored five goals and set up three more Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 16-2 win over McCann Tech.

Emma Meczywor had a hat trick, and Reagan Shea, Rylin Larabee and Maryn Cappiello each scored twice in the win.

“Today was a really nice team win and having seven different players in the scoring column is a bright spot,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “We continue to focus on quick movement and off ball cuts and today everyone contributed to that effort. Defensively, Eva Akroman and Virginia Field were outstanding.

“For McCann, Jordyn Lloyd stood out as an overall great player.”

Lloyd and Gabby Wells-Vidal each scored a goal for the Hornets, who got 15 saves from Carlee Roberts.

McCann Tech (0-4) is at Springfield Tech on Monday.

Hoosac Valley (4-0) is at Granby on Friday.
