McCormack's Eight Goals Lift Mounties
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Michael McCormack scored eight goals on 10 shots to lead the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team past Pittsfield, 14-2, on Tuesday.
McCormack also had an assist for the Mounties, who improved to 9-1.
Mount Greylock led 13-0 after three quarters before Brendan Leary and Cam Volastro each scored to get Pittsfield (3-5) on the board.
Cole Hughes had a hat trick, and Cal Filson made five saves with no goals against for Mount Greylock.
Nikolai Pixley stopped eight shots for Pittsfield, which plays at Taconic on Saturday.
The Mounties head to Dalton to face Wahconah on Thursday.
