Monument Mountain Baseball Slugs Its Way Past Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRRINGTON, Mass. -- Dom Velasco went 3-for-3 with a triple Friday as the Monument Mountain baseball team beat Mount Greylock, 18-7.
 
Dom Calautti and Gus Luf each homered, and Jack Bissaillon tripled for the Spartans.
 
Three different Spartan pitchers combined on the five-inning win. Keegan Dargie gave up one run in two innings on the mound to earn the win.
 
Mason Canata went 2-for-4, and Cole Wetherell was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs in a 10-hit attack for the Mounties.
 
Mount Greylock (4-4) hosts Greenfield on Tuesday.
 
The Spartans improved to 4-1 heading into Saturday's game against Taconic.
