Wendling Pitches Taconic Past Spartans

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Taconic's Chase Wendling struck out four and scattered four hits in earning a complete-game, 4-1 win over Monument Mountain on Saturday.
 
Wendling walked two and gave up just one unearned run in the victory.
 
He also helped his own cause by going 1-for-4 and scoring two runs.
 
Gavin O'Donnell led Taconic's offense, going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.
 
Monument Mountain got doubles from Jack Bissaillon and Christian Blanchard.
 
Bissaillon and Gus Luf split time on the mound for the Spartans, striking out 12 and allowing three earned runs.
 
Monument Mountain (4-2) hosts Frontier on Tuesday.
 
Taconic (4-3) hosts Pittsfield on Thursday.
