Hornets Pull Out Narrow Win at Home

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – McCann Tech’s Brodie Smith got a strikeout with the tying run on first base in the bottom of the seventh to secure a 6-5, complete-game win over Franklin Tech on Thursday.
 
Smith struck out nine, walked none and allowed one earned run in the victory on the hill.
 
He also helped his cause by going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at the plate.
 
Lukas Rylander led McCann Tech’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.
 
Dylan Turner and Kale Kondel also doubled in a seven-hit attack for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech (2-3) hosts Lee on Monday.
