Uqdah, LaForest Lead McCann Tech Boys Past Duggan

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Omar Uqdah scored two goals and assisted another Monday to lead the McCann Tech boys soccer team to a 6-0 win over Duggan Academy.

 

Nicholas LaForest scored twice, and Connor Griswold and Carter Foucher each scored a goal. Justin Denette set up two goals, and Michael Harris stopped a pair of shots to earn the shutout in net.

 

“We played well and the goalie for the other side played phenomenal,” McCann Tech coach John Bresett said. “Now that we have a couple days off we can prepare for the next few games later in the week.”

 

Duggan’s Jeremiah Cruz was credited with 32 saves.

 

McCann Tech (6-3) goes back to Springfield to face Commerce on Thursday.
