Sullivan-Bol Goal Lifts Drury Boys

PUTNAM, Mass. -- Jackson Sullivan-Bol scored an unassisted goal late in the first half Friday to lift the Drury boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over Putnam Vocational as the Blue Devils improved to 3-0.

 

“Overall, it was a good game,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said. “Better passing, better communication, but we had a tough time putting the ball in the net. Jackson found a loose ball in the 18 and buried it for his first varsity goal and that was difference on the scoreboard.”

 

Corbin Rumbolt stopped two shots in goal for Drury, which outshot its hosts by a margin of 12-2.

 

Drury goes to Pope Francis on Tuesday.
