Letters
<POST LETTER>Letter: Trump has Committed a Crime
He appears to have committed a criminal act and should be prosecuted, and at least prevented from committing more criminal acts. Wake up, people! This man is using our freedoms to destroy those very freedoms. He is a danger to our nation.
Letter: Vote for Integrity
The person who occupies the White House in Washington, D.C. today just openly encouraged his supporters to break the law, by voting twice — once by mail, and once in person — suggesting that this would "test the system."
Letter: Thank You to North Adams Firefighters
I wanted to express my appreciation to Steve Meranti, fire chief, and all the firefighters that responded quickly to my home, Wire Inspector Mike Lescarbeau and Assistant Wire Inspector Mitch Meranti and electrician Pete Milesi.
Letter: Vote For Alex Morse
As a sometimes songwriter, my recent song, "Ripped," expresses why we should vote Morse on Sept. 1:
Letter: Morse Will Bring Progressive Values to Washington
Alex encouraged me to cast aside the hate, derision and patronizing comments to focus on what really mattered: the needs of the people in Ward 5. He told me to have faith in the voters but, first and foremost, have faith in myself.
Letter: Neal for Congress
I am urging voters to vote for Richie Neal on Sept. 1. I have known Richie for many years and know that he cares deeply about Western Mass and his constituents. I also know that he has delivered for us time and again.
Letter: Statement of the Lenox Democrats Regarding Smear Job on Alex Morse
We, the Lenox Democratic Town Committee, condemn the Massachusetts Democrats and the Massachusetts College Democrats for their deplorable conduct with respect to candidate Alex Morse for Congress.
Guest Column: Morse Allegations a 'fishy' Story
We should be talking about Neal being on the corporate payroll. Instead, we are talking about Morse's private dating life.
Letter: Berkshires, Country Need Neal in Congress
In this day and age it is refreshing to have a representative who remembers so vividly where he came from. A leader who is accessible, responsive and listens to his constituents. He is a fixture in the Berkshires, visiting our businesses, speaking to our children in schools and meeting with our local officials.
Letter: Postpone Pot Vote in Williamstown
Two conflicting, confusing, and deficient articles are posted to the town warrant this year. The two articles were drafted without proper community input in one case and technical finesse in another.
Letter: Reefer Madness in Williamstown
The days of prohibition are over: today distilleries, breweries and vineyards are popular lucrative tourist attractions. Soon enough, we will realize that niche marijuana growing presents that same opportunity. Let's protect our Williamstown farmers' rare chance to do more than break even.
Letter: Vote Yes on 33, No on 34
We should not agree to postpone Article 33 until next year's town meeting. We'll need Article 33's insurance in the meantime against the intense development pressures we've already seen big cannabis bring to town.
Letter: Town Meeting Vote: 'Bend The Arc Toward Racial Justice'
On Aug. 18, Williamstown residents will have the opportunity to vote on the NIOC pledge. A vote for this pledge is an acknowledgement, a collective addressing, and a commitment to inclusiveness, tolerance and respect for all — and is one way to reverse the very real wrongs and historical instances of ugliness in the Village Beautiful.
Letter: Bright Future for Outdoor Marijuana Cultivation in Williamstown
As a small vegetable farmer in Williamstown, I am a strong supporter of the citizens petition on outdoor marijuana cultivation that will be voted on at the Williamstown town meeting on Aug. 18.
