Chad Howes pitched four innings of shutout ball before leaving the game to save himself for future games this week as Dalton stayed alive in the double-elimination tournament and ended Adams-Cheshire's run.
Brandon's brother Auggie hit a three-run homer in the first inning to get Dalton a lead, and it never looked back.
Nate Zink and Kevin Huban each had two hits for Dalton, who moves on to play Pittsfield North on Thursday in a double-header that features Pittsfield South and Great Barrington in the winners' bracket.
Zach Swistak broke up Dalton's no-hit bid with a single in the fifth inning.
