Beverly A. Wood, 79

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  

Mrs. Beverly A. (Gauthier) Wood, of Williamstown, a loving mother, wife, and friend passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 79 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity.

She was born in Adams on May 14, 1945, daughter of the late Annette (Gauthier) Bellard. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams.

Mrs. Wood worked for many years as the hardware manager for the former H. Greenberg & Son in North Adams until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Wood, whom she married on September 25, 1965; her daughter, Karen Clairmont and her husband Brian of Pittsfield; two step granddaughters, Allison and Nicole Clairmont and by two step great grandchildren, Isaac and Gabrielle.

Throughout her life, Bev was known for her warm heart, kindness and compassion. She had a profound impact on everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the countless memories and stories shared by those who knew her.

Per Beverly’s wishes, there are no funeral services.

Beverly was one of the funniest, warmest women I ever met. She loved watching horror movies (the more gory the better). She loved birds and deer. And when things didn't go her way, it was "bullshit!" May she rest in peace.
